POD: Day 210 | 3.11.12

The day before my first day of internship---I return from Fairfax with just a handful of hours to unpack, wash, repack, and pack even more before heading out early the next morning. During the frantic, last-minute packing I came across a wonderful memory from my first semester at school: a roll of Kodak TMAX-100 120 B&W film. I cannot even begin to count how many rolls of this were shot, developed and from whose negatives I made countless prints. The first time I loaded a roll of film into the little Yashica, I was terrified and thrilled at the same time. Much like how I feel before starting internship. However things with film went well; it took some getting used to but before I knew it I was in love with a new medium (no pun intended). I have a feeling the same will apply to working every day at a newspaper. Cheers to new beginnings.
