This is a photo from a shoot that ended up being two days long in order to get more (i.e. better) photos. The story (being published August 1st) is about the 60th anniversary of a barbecue institution in Durham. As I stood back and observed during a lunch rush, I took some photos for myself in an effort to see the scene differently, look for interesting angles and composition and to try not to take such literal photos. It is something I am trying to work on.
