Guests of the dinner were randomly assigned to sit in one of three income level areas: low, middle and high. The low income level meal was a bowl of rice and water to drink, middle income received a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and water to drink, while the high income diners were served a salad, spaghetti, dessert and their choice of tea or water.
