Invitational Exhibition

A group of fellow students and I went to see a piece of work by one of our instructors, John Rash, at an invitational exhibition in downtown Asheboro this evening. It was a gorgeous panoramic view of Red Rock in Las Vegas and it hung with several pieces of work by a variety of local (and some not so local) artists. It was my first time in the Sara Smith Self Gallery, part of the W. H. Moring Art Center on Sunset Avenue, and I am excited to return for future shows.

Anna Josefina, from Finland, talks about her piece of work in the exhibit. She lives in Star, NC and works with glass, which is the material she used to construct the necklace that is on display.
