Gentle Giants

I ventured to the Hot Air Balloon Festival in Statesville, NC today. It was my first time at this festival and I was overwhelmed in the best possible way. My friends and I met a very friendly man (also a photographer) who gave us great tips for navigating shooting positions when the balloons get prepped, take-off and so on.  The balloons themselves were incredible---I was running from balloon to balloon, turning in every direction, always with my face to my camera. There are a lot more photos to post---I just haven't had time to edit them yet. Check back in a day or two!

    Melissa, this is a very interesting photo. i like how the front ballon is "boring" colors, and the back one is different colors.
