POD: Day 28
Not only was this the weather for today, but the weather all weekend long. Between Winston-Salem and Greensboro, there were more events than one person alone could attend. If you did not find something to do this weekend, then you did not try hard enough. I got my first (and second) taste of photographing a bike race. I have to say that while I am no expert, I am most certainly hooked. In addition to the great photo opportunities around every bend, i found the sound of the bikes as they approach, the brief, cool breeze they provide as the cyclists fly by and the pure energy you feel as they vie to finish ahead of one another, absolutely incredible. Here's to a great weekend of shooting and to all the riders who competed in the races over the weekend.
Great perspective on the racers. I love that your caught your primary subject with his mouth open like that. It is obvious that they are all working hard, but that open mouth steps the image up a level. Very nice work.
